A boatload of BD

Blu-ray

UK distributors Optimum Home Entertainment have just unveiled what Blu-ray.com accurately refers to as a "deluge" of Blu-ray releases for the summer months. This impressive slate covers a broad range of films, from gung-ho action spectacles like Highlander and several Luc Besson films to Michael Winterbottom's high-brow (or tedious, depending on your tastes) sex romp 9 Songs and Alain Resnais' Last Year in Marienbad. I can count several that I'll be picking up - good thing these releases are spread over a number of months.

You can head over to Blu-ray.com to see the full list. Just bear in mind that, as per Optimum's standard policy, all these titles are likely to be locked to Region B.

Did a comment you tried to post accidentally get eaten by the spam filter? It happens from time to time. I get upwards of 200 spam comments every day and unfortunately don't have the time to weed through all of them in case something genuine ended up there by mistake.
