Google Chrome

Does anyone use Google's Chrome browser? I've just downloaded it for the first time and I must say I'm very impressed. It has a slick, minimalist interface, very similar to Apple's latest iteration of Safari. More importantly, while I haven't done any actual number-crunching on it, subjectively it does feel very fast. (This may have something to do with the DNS pre-fetching option, which it claims improves page load performance.)

I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up my trusty Firefox quite yet (just as it took me forever and a day to trade in Internet Explorer for Firefox back in the day), but if you're looking for a sleek, efficient alternative browser, I heartily recommend giving Chrome a look. You can read more about the features on offer here.

I used it for testing my site as i needed to test in various browsers and so tested it and Opera, Internet Explorer 8, FireFox and Safari.

I downloaded a beta version a while back and it did look nice and minimalistic as you said. But I am a die-hard Firefox user now, and without all the add-ons and such the functionality, for me, is greatly curtailed. Besides I just don't think I am ready to give up Firefox.

I've been using Chrome for around a month now, Firefox was bugging out on me big style. I'm quite please thus far, after the initial confusion over how you bookmark pages.

Did a comment you tried to post accidentally get eaten by the spam filter? It happens from time to time. I get upwards of 200 spam comments every day and unfortunately don't have the time to weed through all of them in case something genuine ended up there by mistake. If one of your posts gets incorrectly flagged as spam, email me at whiggles[at]ntlworld[dot]com and I'll do my best to retrieve it.
