John K. Comic-Con pitch

Animation

In the animation world, Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi is a legend for many reasons, not least for bringing cartoonist-driven cartoons (what a radical concept!) back to television and for pioneering Flash animation. His pitches have also attained legendary status, though, due to their extremely animated (to use an unavoidable pun) nature. I'd never actually seen one before, and I suspect that's true for most people. However, last week, at the 2009 Comic-Con in San Diego, he used his panel as an opportunity to pitch to a live audience an entire episode of The George Liquor Program, which he is currently shopping around the networks.

Those fortunate enough to have attended the panel must have experience a special event indeed, but for the rest of us, we have the next best thing: some kind soul took the time to record and upload the entire pitch. It was unceremoniously yanked from YouTube before but has since resurfaced on AOL Video. Still, if you want to see it, I'd recommend checking it out sooner rather than later:

Enjoy the insanity!

Great stuff! Hopefully this'll get made. John K. Presents would be a fantastic show for him to just throw all his weird ideas out into the world. The dude's creative, and REALLY funny.

Did a comment you tried to post accidentally get eaten by the spam filter? It happens from time to time. I get upwards of 200 spam comments every day and unfortunately don't have the time to weed through all of them in case something genuine ended up there by mistake.
