You know, this sounds crazy enough to actually work

Who says Hollywood is short of original ideas?

In other irrelevant movie world news, TRUE BLOOD star Anna Paquin is bisexual. Believe it or not, this is considered by some people to be a big deal.

Bisexuality is not taken very seriously when it comes to women, usually it means they just want attention or are going through a phase. However when a man is bisexual it means he is gay. I have always found this double standard fascinating... penis always wins in bisexuality much like rock, paper, scissors.

Meh...I have friends who are gay, lesbian, and bisexual and most of them don't care who knows.

Heartwarming tale of a dimwitted African American being rescued by family of white Republicans THE BLINDSIDE's lead actress Sandra Bullock's husband is cheating on her with a tattooed Neo-Nazi!

Oh. My. God. That is shocking......

Wait I forgot its not 1974, its 2010. I'm OK now.

Wait. A major actress coming out at the height of her popularity?

Actually, that IS shocking. Because it's normally considered the kiss of a death for a career.

Nah Baron its only the kiss of death if she said she was a lesbian but the Hollywood execs are fine with bi-sexual.

Personally i just don't see what all the fuss is about, my immediate reaction was "so what"

I like True Blood and Anna Paquin and look forward to seeing season 2.

She did a fantastic Scottish accent many years ago for The Piano in which i believe she won an Oscar.

For a woman, being "bisexual" is not that big of a deal and Hollywood execs are fine with it (once again that double standard). I believe Jodie Foster never fully came out despite everyone and their mother knowing she's a lesbian.

On a related note Ricky Martin finally came out (completely) last week.

James Randi also came out last month.

Look at poor Anne Heche, she had a great career and was getting some big movie parts but she came out and suddenly the good parts dried up.

No surprise Jodie Foster waited many years until her career was established, prejudices still exist in the world. (unfortunately)

Didn't that have more to do with her "going nuts" period and poor choices in film roles? At least she was in the excellent BIRTH...

Yes, as far as I remember Anne Heche's career ended the day she entered a random house in the middle of the road, used their shower, and claimed she was abducted by aliens.

EDIT: Actually I was wrong... instead of claiming she was abducted she claimed she was God and would take people back to her planet on a spaceship.

Well you do know Scientology believes Xenu originally came to Earth and this was 75 million years ago ( just as the Dinosaurs became extinct ) and he brought millions of people on airliner type spaceships.

Its funny how L. Ron Hubbard is the funder of Scientology and was a sci-fi writer. Maybe Anne is now a Scientologist.

You would think intelligent people like Tom Cruise and John Travolta would perhaps think to themselves sci-fi writer - scientology....Hmmmm and connect the dots.

Mind you, someone wrote a famous book just over 2000 years ago and that also has a cult following. :o)

As ridiculous as Scientology is, to me the story behind it is not really that much worse than most mainstream religions out there. Like Bill Maher said: "Scientology is indeed ridiculous. Talking snake, virgin birth, that's the way to go!"
