Already ordered it a couple of days ago. It has the original mono on it and while I somehow expected Universal to screw up this release the screenshots available online look very promising and film-like.

I didn't want to wait either and this steelbook w/20 page booklet was too good to pass up.

On the subject of classic horror films on Blu-ray..."The Evil Dead" looks awesome:

Here's to hoping new, excellent masters for the sequels are made—and that when "Army of Darkness" is next released, they include the director's cut, and touch up the DC-specific scenes real nicely. (I actually prefer the DC, though I wish I could put the "Good, bad... I'm the guy with the gun" line in it in place of "I'm not that good.")

Definitely looking forward to "Psycho", but I'll wait for the US release. Though there's the chance the US one could look like poo, in which case I'd have to import anyway.

Lotsa cool horror films coming in October here; hoping they all get great transfers. "House" (a.k.a. "Hausu"), "Alien", "Maniac", the theatrical cut of "Grindhouse", "Psycho", and I'm certain there were others, too.

Saw the standard red Blu-ray case in ASDA today for £14, I think I'd probably spend and extra £2 for the steelbook on Amazon.
My next Blu-ray will probably be the 2 disc Donnie Darko set (from ASDA to get the lenticular cover lol).
