#1057: Taxi Driver

BD

(BD, Sony Pictures, Region ABC, USA)

...a.k.a. Classic Movie Michael Hasn't Seen #1290830280280.

Note to UK peeps: the US version is a steal for $12.99 at Amazon.com. Even taking into account shipping costs, it works out at less than the cheapest price I could find for the as-yet-unreleased UK version.

TAXI DRIVER is one of the best American films of the 1970s, and that is saying something. The music score alone is worth watching the movie for. Enjoy!

Been meaning to pick this up. Nice low price, heard the transfer is really solid, and it's a truly fantastic movie (as is the screenwriter's other flick, Hardcore—I almost like that one more, actually).

Very solid disc of a terrific (if somewhat over-discussed) film.
The transfer's so good, it's actually slightly disappointing: there's quite a lot of opticals in Taxi Driver, and you can see the inherent degradation because the transfer is so unforgivingly clear.

Went up to $15 now but still a great deal, really nice digipak. Compared to the UK release which will probably just be a standard amaray case with a cover if we are lucky, but for more money....
