I used to love those banana flavoured shrimps that used to be sold at Woolworths, anyways i stopped when i discovered gelatine ( found in Jelly Babies ) is actually leftover parts of animals such as horses hooves and the sweetie contained that ingredient, as does jelly babies and even jelly itself.

Drive Angry apparently looks great in 3D.

Ice Cold In Alex is a great film.

Actually Jelly Bellies don't contain gelatine. My brother (who's vegetarian) eats them and he's careful about that sort of thing. From their FAQ:

Q: Do Jelly Belly jelly beans contain gelatine?
A: No. Jelly Belly jelly beans do not contain gelatine.

Q: Are Jelly Belly jelly beans suitable for vegetarians?
A: Yes they are, however some strict vegans may have issues with the beeswax and shellac used to give them their final buff and polish.

Happy Birthday!

Good presents! I've got three of those Blu-rays and will be buying two more (...not Drive Angry!)

I can't eat Jelly Bellies or Jelly Babies, sadly. :(

Happy birthday! It's too bad you ended up with Drive Angry, but the rest looks good.

Can't wait to see what you say about OUATITW.
I thought it looked quite nice, but we'll see what the expert thinks.

I've never seen Cross Of Iron, but I love Peckinpah. Is that a region-locked disc?

No Jelly Bellies for me either; I'm a vegan. :)

I really enjoyed Alice: Madness Returns. You should enjoy it if you like classic 3D platformers, some mild puzzle solving and eye-catching level design.

Also curious about your thoughts regarding OUATITW and SOTD.
Enough acronyms for now. ;)

Happy Birthday dude, I hope you "enjoy" my gift of THE HORSEMAN. It's far from an easy watch but a totally gripping revenge thriller. If you recall I included it in my Top 10 Films of last year - based on UK release - film was orignally released in Oz 2008.

Happy birthday...

Watching Once Upon A Time In The West for the very first time. I am supremely jealous...enjoy the film. My personal favourite movie of all time. No bullshit. OUATITW is God. :)

Watching Drive Angry...I am not jealous! In a word, 'Rental.' Although an enjoyable rental...

On the plus side, you won't be watching the UK release. I have seen it and placing both the 2d and 3d versions on one disc was clearly not a good move.

Happy belated Birthday. Let me know how Madness Returns is. American McGee hasn't made a good game since the first Alice. Oh, just to make sure you don't feel too good about what the future holds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25HqlShGBtc

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

Watched DRIVE ANGRY last night - I can't claim to have been disappointed, but that's only because my expectations were practically nil to begin with. Not a good film.

Todd:

Yeesh, did you HAVE to link to that Looney Tunes Show preview?

As for ALICE, I'm enjoying it so far. Great art design (very much along the same lines as the original game, albeit with 2011 technology) and very smooth to play once I realised you could disable the 30 fps cap on the PC version via an .ini file. As 3D platformers go, this is one of the better ones, though like the first game the combat feels pretty clunky. Then again, I suspect it was made with a gamepad in mind and I'm using a mouse and keyboard.

Good to know. And yep, I had to share the wonderful news!
