I liked the Tom cameo too. I do have mixed feelings about the ending, though. I suppose the sheer nihilism of it was in keeping with SPOOKS' ethos, but part of me felt somewhat cheated by the lack of closure to what was essentially a decade-long arc for Harry Pearce. I'd fully expected them to either kill him off or have him retire to that cottage with Ruth. Having him simply return to work, more tormented than ever... I dunno, it just didn't really feel like the definitive end the series needed.

Ah well, at least the WAKING THE DEAD team got a happy ending.
