Microphone sample

Had a couple of requests for a sample recorded from my new microphone. Ignore the crappy quality of my webcam plus low lighting conditions:

You should totally crank the bass and the dynamic range compression up to see if you can get the Howard Stern/ Chuck Fadanoid sound!

Very nice overall, definitely sounds clear, without any kind of pops, hiss or disturbance, plus you didn't have to sit and "kiss the mic" to be audible. Hope the chair doesn't squeak too much or such, but other than that it should be good for podcasts and commentaries aplenty.

I just heard your Voice on the new mic and had to turn up the volume with Win 7 to the max. Can't get it any louder to hear some background noise. Is that on purpose?

p.s.: I have a problem playing bluray on my machine. Is there a way of presenting You with the details via e-mail without bothering You here?

No, you're right, it's too quiet, and it's something I'll fix for the podcasts. I'm still playing around with the gain and Windows' own microphone sensitivity, trying to find a happy medium.

And yes, feel free to email me your Blu-ray problem and I'll do my best to help. My email is whiggles[at]ntlworld[dot]com
