Good bargains! I just bought the Criterion RED SHOES, and I'm holding out for their edition of GOMORRAH at a decent price, but the UK editions of both seem very good.

I'll be interested to see what you think of LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. I saw a theatrical presentation of the newly restored version recently, but I don't have the Blu-ray yet.

I also have the Criterion of The Red Shoes, i think ITV/Canal + do inferior versions, all the ones i have seen tend to look grain reduced with inferior encodes.

Lawrence Of Arabia is stunning as long as you remember the vertical stripes in some scenes is related to heat damage and they chose not to try and repair it since that's how it was seen in 1962 and David Lean isn't around to authorize any additional changes since the 89, restoration.

Great choice of titles. Stand Bye Me has a great transfer and a interesting PiP track including Director Rob Reiner, Wil Wheaton and Corey Feldman. Has some poignant moments as they watch and remember Phoenix.

I'm currently re-watching some of the films released on blu-ray in 2012 for my top 10 list, including cramming in a 9 film set I got on Xmas...
There are a lot of films that were released this year that could easily have bumped a few from my list but I'm sticking to titles I bought and watched this year.
Oldest film on the list was from 1931, newest 2012.
